Appetizers

If we eat out at night, make sure to eat lunch to avoid getting too hungry to make healthy food choices. At the restaurant, choose whole grain breads instead of the garlic bread full of butter. Snack foods tend to be high in fat and calories, so choose a vegetable soup or a salad with dark green leaves with dressing on the side instead of fried calamari or a creamy crab dip.

Healthy Choices for the heart

When we see the words baked, grilled, roasted, poached, steamed, sauteed, these foods are probably cooked with little or no fat and are subsequently a healthy choice.

Foods to avoid

Words Alfredo sauce, au gratin, cheese sauce, paste, breaded, buttered, cream, crispy fried crust, Dutch, fried, pastry, prime, rich, sauce, mayonnaise or thick sauce indicate usually the foods are high in fat and calories.

Also, pickled foods, smoked or served with soy sauce are usually high in sodium (ask for soy sauce with reduced salt content).

Portion sizes

The size of the portions served in restaurants is often impressive, then share or take half of our plate at home for lunch or dinner the next day.And better,the restaurant can do induction cooking.
